Easy to use
Built for occasional users
Every method ends with the same results panel and the same report layout. Whoever knows one finds their way in all of them.
Copy cells in Excel or another spreadsheet and paste them into the input. Comma and point are both accepted as decimal separators.
Hints right at the input fields and a manual chapter per method. Whoever evaluates rarely does not need to know anything by heart.
No rollout to individual computers, no licence file. Log in and calculate, in the measuring room as well as in the office.

Checked against reference values
The public validation report documents, per method, the reference data sets from Bosch Booklet 10 and AIAG MSA, the target values and the deviations achieved, plus the cross-check with Minitab. It lets you show in an audit that my8data is fit for use.

FAQ
Questions about using it alongside Q-DAS and Minitab
Does my8data replace Q-DAS or Minitab?
No. my8data complements them. The existing licences remain for central evaluations, customer guidelines and data deliveries. All other users calculate MSA, capability and control charts in my8data and need no licence of their own for that.
Do the results match?
my8data calculates per AIAG MSA, VDA 5, the AIAG-VDA SPC manual and Bosch Booklets 9 and 10; the cross-check with Minitab is in the validation report. Differences usually come from the chosen method, such as the distribution or the estimate of the variation. Check it with an existing data set.
Can my8data open DFQ files?
No. You take over readings by copying them from Excel or another spreadsheet. Data deliveries in Q-DAS format stay with the Q-DAS system.
How much licence cost do I save?
That depends on how many users can manage without a licence of their own in future. For five more users, my8data TEAM costs €1,490 per year excl. VAT. Per its public price list, Minitab costs USD 1,851 per user and year.
Does IT need to install anything?
No. my8data runs in the browser; the servers are in Germany.
